Top 3 Tips to Improve Circulation

1) Dry skin brushing: you can buy a dry skin brush at your local pharmacy. Start by brushing just under the clavicle, and the front of the hip. This will activate the lymph. Next, brush from your toes, feet, all the way to the hip. Next, brush from your fingers all the way up the arms. Brush the back and abdomen/ torso, toward the heart. Repeat until skin is a fresh red

2) Moxabustion: Imagine a giant cigar, filled with the Chinese Medicine herb – Mugwort. 🌿 Mugwort is known to improve blood flow throughout the meridians.  There is a point on the lower leg called, “zu san li ST 36”. Moxa can be applied here in a regular basis. In Chinese medicine textbooks, it is affirmed that this point can increase life longevity!

3) Application of Safflower massage oil to body – Safflower Oil, or Hong Hua in Chinese Medicine, should be bright red to resemble its color in nature. This fiery red herb is used to invigorate blood, and move Qi throughout the body.

Ideally, all three of these tips should be used together. Avoid the moxa and safflower if you are a person that is always hot and sweaty.
